| Where
does the water come from? |
| The
water comes from the water source in the camping area, lake, stream,
etc. |
| How
do I heat the water? |
| The
quickest way is to add pre-heated water - 1 to 2 gallons heated over
a campfire or stove - to 6 gallons of cool water already in the reservoir.
If the Bivouac Buddy is hanging in the sun, it will solar heat. The
Heat Shield/Debris Cover
accessory will help hold the heat in the reservoir and it will also
help keep out leaves and bird droppings. |
| Where
does the water go? |
| The
floor has a hole cut in the side allowing water to drain out. If you
wanted to deter the water away from the shower, use the Drain
Kit accessory. A garden hose can be attached if extra length
is needed. |
| Where
do I hang it? |
| The
easiest place to hang the Bivouac Buddy is from a tree limb. When
a tree is not available, hang it with the Buddy
Pole accessory, which mounts against almost any vehicle. A
Free Standing Buddy Pole is also
available. |
| Can
I use it in cold weather? |
| The
Bivouac Buddy will provide a comfortable shower in cold weather. If
the water in the reservoir is warm, while showering, the steam stays
inside the shower because of the waterproof curtain. |
| Why
should I buy a Bivouac Buddy? |
| The
Bivouac Buddy is the ultimate in camping equipment. It can be used
as a portable potty enclosure
and a dressing room. It provides privacy at any camping
area. The use of public showers – if available – is no longer necessary.
While in the outdoors, it will allow a person to check for and rid
oneself of ticks, a major problem facing outdoorsmen because of the
rise of Lyme Disease cases. Showering is not only important for personal
hygiene, but keeping clean also helps you get proper rest. |
